Dassault is giving its best-selling business jet the current flight deck of the family. On 20 October 2026, in Las Vegas, the manufacturer announced plans to offer the fourth-generation EASy IV flight deck on the production Falcon 2000LXS and to make it available as a retrofit for all aircraft of the Falcon 2000 EASy series.

What EASy IV adds

The list of changes reads like a thorough computer upgrade. EASy IV brings faster processing power, crisper displays and new functions. Dassault highlights airport moving maps in two and three dimensions, new features for Jeppesen charts and a next-generation flight management system capable of flying RNP approaches.

Each item has a practical meaning. An airport moving map shows the aircraft's own position on a plan of runways and taxiways, which helps crews find their way at large, unfamiliar airports, at night or in poor visibility. RNP stands for required navigation performance: approaches based on satellite navigation with a defined accuracy, increasingly used where ground-based landing aids are limited or the terrain is demanding. The flight management system is the computer that holds the route and calculates the flight profile, so a new generation matters for everything built on top of it.

Paired with FalconEye

Dassault pairs the new flight deck with FalconEye, its combined vision system. A system of this kind blends a computer-generated picture of terrain and runways with a live camera image into a single view. According to Dassault, EASy IV and FalconEye together let pilots navigate more safely through almost any weather, with better situational awareness during approaches in low visibility.

Why the 2000 series gets it

The Falcon 2000 family is the best-selling business aircraft Dassault makes, with more than 700 built since it entered service in 1995. The manufacturer says it decided on the upgrade because of the type's continuing popularity in markets around the world, and to add features that support future regulations. The current Falcon 2000LXS offers 4,000 nm of range with fuel economy, the short field performance Falcon is known for and a large cabin.

Eric Trappier, chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, says the step "keeps the flight deck at the leading edge" and that it "modernizes the existing fleet and enhances aircraft value". Carlos Brana, executive vice president for civil aircraft, points to the ability of the 2000 series to reach almost any airport with comfort and efficiency, a strength he expects the new avionics to reinforce.

What it means for owners and passengers

For owners of an existing Falcon 2000 EASy aircraft, the retrofit offer is the real news: the cockpit of a type flying since 1995 does not have to age with the airframe. Dassault has not yet named a price or downtime for the retrofit. For passengers the avionics stay invisible, yet they influence where, and in which weather, a jet can operate.
